Kriti opens up about her views on nepotism in Bollywood

Kriti Sanon talked about her views on nepotism in Bollywood at the 55th International Film Festival of India in Goa. As per the actress, Kriti feels that nepotism is not solely based on the industry but also on how media and the cycle are involved on a larger scale.

During her session with DNA, she stated, “I feel the industry is not so much responsible for nepotism. It’s also the media and the audience. The audiences want to watch what the media is putting about certain star kids. Because the audience is interested in them, the industry feels that since the audience is interested, let’s make a movie with them.”

She further added, “So I think it’s a circle. But I feel if you are talented, you will get there. If you’re not talented, and if the connection is not there with the audiences, you will not get there.”

On the work front, Kriti was last seen in the mystery thriller film Do Patti with Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh. The film was directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon. It was produced by Kathha Pictures and Blue Butterfly Films. The film was released on Netflix on October 25, 2024.
